Guest Lecture: Brian Richter "Chasing Water in a Rapidly Changing World"On October 28, 2015 at 4pm at USU Brian Richter will be speaking about "Chasing Water in a Rapidly Changing World". B rian Richter is Chief Scientist for the water program of The Nature Conservancy, where he promotes sustainable water use and management with governments, corporations and communities. He is also president of Sustainable Waters, a global water education organization, and has consulted on more than 120 water projects worldwide. Richter has developed numerous scientific tools and methods to support river protection and restoration, including the Indicators of Hydrologic Alteration software which is used internationally. He is the author of Chasing Water: A Guide for Moving from Scarcity to Sustainability and co-author, with Sandra Postel, of Rivers for Life: Managing Water for People and Nature.
