Utah Water Watch - Tier 1 - Salt Lake City

Join UWW to learn about watersheds and water quality monitoring in SLC at the Glendale Library from 12-4pm. Volunteers monitor basic water quality parameters like pH, DO, turbidity and temperature as well as water safety issues like e. Coli and harmful algal blooms. Monitoring is a great activity for teachers, families and students! We'll be spending half the time reviewing basic water quality information and UWW procedures before enjoying refreshments and heading up to Liberty Park Pond to do some monitoring. This training will also provide extra information about the ecology and dynamics of lakes including Harmful Algal Blooms. To RSVP or more information contact us, waterquality@usu.edu, 435-797-2580.

Utah Water Watch - Tier 1 - Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge

Join UWW to learn about watersheds and water quality monitoring at this UWW Tier 1 training on April 1, 2017 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Help us collect data on a local waterbody! Training is open to the public of all ages and levels. We will start by learning watershed basics, water quality and the need for monitoring. Broader Impacts Forum and iUTAH All-Hands Meeting

The iUTAH Spring All-Hands Meeting will take place on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT, as part of a larger Broader Impacts in Research Conference hosted in partnership with the Office of the Vice President for Research at the University of Utah. The conference will include keynote talks and panel discussions by nationally recognized speakers, as well as a series of afternoon workshops for researchers looking for innovative and exciting ways to incorporate broader impacts into their proposals.
